How to get there
GETTING THERE From the South by car
NORTH FROM PUERTO VALLARTA: From the Puerto Vallarta airport, take Highway 200 NORTH (the opposite direction from downtown Vallarta) in the direction of Tepic, for 96 kilometers (about 62 miles) until you reach LAS VARAS. As you enter LAS VARAS, just past the Bardahl building, you must move to the extreme right, off the main highway, in order to turn LEFT at the 2nd traffic light toward Zacualpan, Playa Tortugas, Mazatlan and San Blas and continue for 68 kilometers (about 33 miles). As you pass through Zacualpan, you will make a left turn at the main plaza, and continue following the highway towards San Blas. When the highway "T's" just past El Llano, make a left turn, then the next right, and continue towards San Blas. (do not continue in the direction towards Santa Cruz and Miramar) You will drive along the coast for about 15 kilometers to the village of Aticama. Puerto Huerto is 2 km past Aticama, just before the restaurant El Chaco. ( KM poste 9.)
GETTING THERE From the South by Bus(PV)
The duplex is located just past Aticama on Playa Matanchen just before the restaurant El Chaco. Aticama is 90 miles North of Puerto Vallarta. There are four buses that run from Puerto Vallarta (7am, 10am, 12am and 3pm - subject to change). Cross the pedestrian overpass outside the airport and take the local bus to Camion Central, the large bus depot which is just down the street from the airport. If you are too late to catch the last San Blas bus, take any bus headed to Tepic or Guadalajara. It wiil stop at a crossroad town called Las Varas where you can get a taxi to Aticama. Make sure you agree on a price beforehand. (They will quote 400 pesos - bargain to 350 and tip the difference).
